10K Race Entry Fees

10K Race Registration

Runners can register online with credit card through Friday September 10. Register on-site Saturday September 11 from 3:00-7:00 PM or on race day from 6:30 -7:50 AM. Register early for reduced race fees! If you prefer to pay by check, download a registration form and mail with your payment to the address provided on the form. Mail-in registrations must be postmarked no later than September 1, 2010. Advance registration is not required for the 1 Mile Fun Run.

10K Awards and Prizes

Overall first place male and female finishers will receive a $250.00 cash prize.  Awards will go to the first place male and female finishers in each age class:  19 years and under, 20-29, 30-29, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 years and above.

Runners 'Swag Bag'

All 10K runners will receive a reusable shopping bag with valuable coupons from local businesses.  The first 300 10K registrations receive an embroidered runners hat with race logo. T-shirts are guaranteed to those registered by August 15. Later registrants will receive shirts as available.

Race Packet Pick-up

You can pick up your race packet in advance of race day on Saturday, September 11, 1 to 4 pm, at South County Secondary School, 8501 Silverbrook Road, Lorton, VA 22079.

On race day, you may register or pick up your race packet at the South County Secondary School, 8501 Silverbrook Road, Lorton, VA 22079 from 6:30 to 7:50 am. Race day registration is $40.

Race Timing

Each runner will wear an electronic chip on the lower leg that will record start, finish and whatever splits that you desire. Gun time and elasped chip time results are available. Race Timing Unlimited uses Winning Time Technology. Runners must return their Winning Time Chip to Race Timing Unlimited at the completion of the race. Runners not returning their chip will be billed $10.

Course Map

This USATF-certified (VA-09020-RT) course takes runners from the South County Secondary School along the Laurel Hill Golf Course and through an area of Lorton that still holds some of its historical core.  The race course will not accommodate walkers.
